1. Umm, it's (relatively) easy if you read the docs. All the modules are pretty heavily documented.
2. Not exactly. Some of the modules show on top of games. However, there are ways around it. You can create a blank theme (with keyboard shortcuts to all your games) that you start before loading a game. Or you can create scripts to hide all the modules.
3. One good site is http://www.loose-screws.com. They have a very extensive list of modules, and you can browse by category.

They're working on a fix for the game issue, which should be in 0.24.7. When that'll be out though is a different question. And, wait, when litestep starts, your computer locks? By locks, do you mean Win2000/WinXP locks, or the computer hangs/freezes?

...or do you mean that you get no shell and don't know what to do about?

I think that's what he means... should we tell him how to fix it?

I want to know too just in case before I install it.

I have a question relating to being a new user to litestep...some themes I've gotten down refuse to show. some screw up badly, not showing the side bar but allowing right click menus, while some dont even allow this. any reason why this would happen?

umm.. ur using LSTS to switch themes? if that's the case then some themes don't have *.thm file included and that confuses LSTS. That *.thm file should be in the theme's dir. u can use LSTS to make one ;)

if that's not the case then some themes just aren't OTS compatible and need some major tweaking before actually using them. be sure to read the readme file before switching!

OR...the step.rc was written poorly. the path to the modules may be wrong, so they're not loading correctly, or something else may be wrong in the config. if it's giving you a message stating that it can't load module xxxxxx.dll, then that's probably it. if it's a DIFFERENT message, post it here (or a new thread).

sorry, that was for greywolfe.

now, to fix the other problem:
1 solution is to create a script, linked to hotkey, that will hide all the modules when you want to do a full-screen app (like a game). there's (normally) a tutorial on joeblade.com, but the sites apparently password restricted now. If a member could grab it from his site, and post it on here somewhere(if he doesn't have an objection), that would be great. The 2nd solution is to create a very basic theme that only loads desktop.dll, and hotkey.dll. set up hotkeys for all your games. then, load the new theme, and start gaming. you'll also have to do some basic config for desktop.dll (desktop area, etc), but that should be about it, I believe.

Or create a script and hook it up with literunner.
