hi, I'm extremely new to Litestep, but I'm loving the amount of simplicity I can get. Can anyone help me by pointing me to a way to customize windows themselves? I am using the complex simplicity theme which I love, but I want to match my windows to it. Right now they are the chunky blue and grey windows ones. Anyway someone has already made a sleek black window skin? :)
I'd say you're in the wrong forum altogether. LiteStep has nothing to do with windows skinning. What you need is something like WindowBlinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/).
To try and answer your question, though, if you go to menu>>system>>control panel>>display
In there, you will have to go to appearance, and you can change the colors there. As for the size of the bars, you will need to google for that info.
Good luck

You, I'll probably need a MSStyles mod to get the windows looking the way I want. I wasn't talking about skinning my actuall windows XP, but about the windows themselves (like the windows for my internet browser and whatnot)
errr...that would be skinning yer "actuall windows XP". Go read up on StyleXP and WindowBlinds.
I've used them before, but they always skin over the start bar and such too. Meh
Litestep replaces the "Start bar and such" does it not?
How can i run windowblinds and litestep at the same time? My windowblinds skin doesnt work anymore when i got litestep.
I remember using windowblinds with Litestep...
I know xcal is using it now.
What exactly "doesnt work anymore"???
Windows colours are those orginal bright blue and white. And icon packager doesnt agree to change icons anymore.
IconPackager is a known thing. But Im in WindowBlinds now with no issues. Have you tried setting the theme again?
The theme might be setting system colors?
oitso: Is it just the icons that dont work?
The theme might have been like Thin and used syscolor. Evul module.
