After about four or so days of reading past forum posts and the docs at shellfront.org. Its a pretty good improvement over the last build I'd played with (waaaaay back on 98) but I have a couple of questions as to how I can make it better.

1) Both the uninstaller and the wallpaper aren't showing up anywhere in my default theme. I'm stuck with a bunch of Windows-style "unassociated file type" icons that don't do a thing and freeze my theme when I right-click on them. How can I rectify this?

2) I'm having issues with Tiny Firewall 2005, 6.5 Pro. I can see UmxCfg.exe and UmxPol.exe in Task Manager but I can't start the application. UmxCfg.exe is taking up probably the most running memory of anything on at this point (12,988K)

I look forward to a reply.

Thanks Omar for creating such a neat application.

Omar did the installer.
I suggest you uninstall it, reboot, then install again, then reboot.

What OS are you on?

Why would you want to start the tinyfirewall if its allready running? Do you mean you want it in the systemtray?

I'm on Windows XP, Service Pack 1A.

Yeah, exactly. I want it in the system tray.
I'm currently running xTray 0.98 with the complex_simplicity theme.

TPF in question has become a little better behaved since my last post. I was getting IE Script errors when I tried to read the application control lists ...

but I think upgrading to the RC3 beta helped somehow ;)

maybe an upgrade to xStep Tray build will grant even better performance. (www.ls-universe.info)
