how to change the desktop back ground??

Right click >> System >> Control Panel >> Display >> Desktop tab.

You're saying the control panel part of the menu isn't working for you?

Best guess is that you tried to use a JPG background and aren't running XP. Back to BMP land with you!

If what DeVilboi says is true:

Get a wallpaper module that supports jpg.
These are excellent on non-XP windows :)

actually, if you're not running XP, I don't believe you can use a non-bmp wallpaper, regardless of the module. unless if the new modules over-ride something in the system.

like I said, the newer modules may have given support for it, I dunno. or maybe the newer LS builds, I'm not sure.

I think to get JPG's working with the 0.24.7 builds you have to set LSUseSystemDDE true

The module converted the jpg to bmp's I think (very sneaky)

the themeinstaller can convert jpg files to bmp if you set it in the tme.ini
