Whats xDesktop and where do I get it?

xDesktop is a litestep module.
You can find it at one of the big Modules Sites:

I've downloaded it and put it in the .dll file in the modules folder, how do I install the module and run it? Sorry for being a newbie.

Have a look in the readme file included in the module archive. That should answer most of your questions. Then you can ask more specific questions about what you need help with. =)

The readme didn't have any installation information, only info on how to configure it.

*NetLoadModule xdesktop-1.7
Same for all modules.

Where do I type that?

In $themedir$theme.rc, or an included file.

Says I haven't edited my xDesktop config file. Where do I find the config file.

Really, I apologize for all the questions, once I understand this one time, I'll be on my way to helping others.

xDesktopConfigFile

Wherever that points to.
xDesktopAutoCreate

That line tells it to automatically make one if it is not there.

And another one bites the dust...

Where did all these newbies get help when ls.net wasnt up I wonder?

Probably nowhere. Despite its stance as NOT the home of LS, at least half the custo sites out there link here for LS.
