i installed litestep but then when i restarted it froze at the screen that shows when the compy starts up. it shows your hard draves and cd drives and stuff. it always freezes on my dvd drive (which is the last on the list) eventually it does start up, after 5 freakin minutes. GRAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!

o yah, after the first try, i uninstalled litestep, restarted but it still takes forever. then i used the backup point feature of windows xp and still didnt work!!!!! Still takes forever.

If you don't still have omar's installer installed put that back. Then once you get it installed update to the RC3 build and you should be AOK.

And before you complain...a new installer with a new build is in the works...it just takes time.

reinstall it...the RC3 build will not work on its own.

That has nothing to do with LS, unless you found a theme that had a virus in it.

that error is completely unrelated to LS. SMART is a hard drive health monitoring system, if I remember right, that is turned on and off in the BIOS.
