I have built LiteStep....now what? Thread last updated on 2005-07-14 21:29:20

I downloaded the current code from CVS for LiteStep via IndieStep, and used VC++ 6 to build it. The build ran smoothly , and everything compiled. However, I am unsure as to what to do now. I see an 'lscp.exe' in my current/litestep/release folder, but when I run it, I am faced with a dialog box that says "LiteStep is not running: Litestep Control Panel can't be loaded. Please start LiteStep before starting Lscp."

So how do I run LiteStep? It's not the lscp executable, and I am unable to find a LiteStep.exe in the /current folder.

I used a batch build to build all the release files. LiteStep Win32 Release was checked.

Errr...IndieStep died years ago. Go into the Downloads section and snag the LiteStep Installer omar did. Install that and you should be good to go.

Hmmm...you are correct. I am very stupid not to see that IndieStep is dead and decaying. Yes, I will use the installer. Thanks for saving me from hours of procrastinated problem solving!

you should also dl RC3, since omar's latest installer only has (iirc) RC1, maybe RC2.
