I install Litestep manually because I liek to knwo what exactly is going on with my machine. Now saying that...
I have a machine with SP2 that works fine. I rarely update this machine, seeing as it's the one I work on all the time and I don't want to kill it with an "update". Explorer and Litestep live well together.
A new machine I set up has been updated to the latest everything, and I for the life of me can NOT get Explorer and Litestep to play nicely.
-Install steps for old working machine:
http://wiki.litestep.com/LiteStep:Installation
I wrote the section "Manual Installation Under Windows 2k/XP" and that's what I did.
-Install steps for new non-working computer:
See above.
I also added "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder"
I did this because I saw this somewhere and thought I'd give it a try. None of this has worked. I'm at a loss. Is there a new place I need to hit in the Registry?
-Thanks
