Anyone ever heard of a open source file manager? Preferably a good one?

I haven't heard of any for windows.
(wait a few weeks, I might be doing this as a project in software engineering... nothing confirmed yet. I have to meet with the rest of my group when the semester starts monday. If all goes well there will be a filebrowser based on mozilla's gecko project by the end of the semester.)

If you will settle for free instead of open source, Xplorer^2 is nice I hear.

And Directory Opus is actually good enough to pay for.
Trust me.

What would be really cool is if TastySheriff were to add the ability to respond to outside commands like Winamp does. There could then be a module that controls this thing through bangs, or maybe something that generated bangs, or maybe something that responded to EVars or something so that the look of the browser could be changed by LS.
