is there a way to use the controls for winamp in the LS themes, without I've to start winamp?
I seem to remember one that does that, but I can't remember which one... check out <a href="http://loose-screws.com/modsearch.php?search=amp&searchtype=simple&submit=Submit">loose screws...[ls module archive]</a>
also, I was just browsing e-sushi's page, found this
http://home.arcor.de/patrizia.sinibaldi/esushi/zips/slimp3.zip simple mp3 client, controled by bangs.
what du i have to do to intergrate into the system..
just load it instead of the other module?
Without even loading WinAmp ? holy shif. How cool is that!
Geekamp is pretty comprehensive though...tuff to beat...
I use gandharva... if winamp is not runniung and i click the play button it'll fire up winamp and start playing... though the skip fwd & back and stop and browse do nothing while winamp is off...
grdamp, geekamp... I think that dynamp is much better (and it support WinAMP3! - which I don't like %) ). And of course, gandharva is the best module for WinAMP3, but it's package doesn't contain the instruction in English. Gandharva's author promised that he will write it for the next version. Let's wait...

grdAmp is very different to any other *Amp module in one very important way. grdAmp is an actual mp3 player. You can even uninstall Winamp if you want, as long as you keep some files behind. Please don't confuse it with winamp controls, grdAmp blows them all away.
IMO, winamp controls add bloating to the themes. I just have winamp open and I was lucky enough to find a skin that matches my customized theme (and how, i am using WA3)
morbidly: gandharva only does song scrolling, you're talking about geekamp.
I use WA3 because it not only plays MP3's but also video and plenty of other formats. It happens to have quite a bit of skins for it. What you could do is make a winamp3 skin that fits right into your LS theme and just set WA3 to start up with windows.
Bague: yes, winamp3 plays video and plenty of other formats, but at what cost? it's slower, buggier, uses more ram/cpu cycles and good skins are few and far between (as in, not usable).
Winamp2.9 (in beta2 yay!) has video playback.
What we need is foobang development to continue, the mighty Foobar is my player of choice!
