I run ls on serveral machines, though never on 98 before. when i load up ls on win98, it gives me boxes for just about everything except the desktop items and sperate programs.
menu's, task bar, clock etc.. with all themes, even default.
suggestions?
OK, i believe i'm missing an important font, can anyone tell me what the default LS font is?
Example: AllLabelsFont "$TimeFont$"
AllLabelsFontHeight 13
AllLabelsFontColor "$TimeTxtColour$"
AllLabelsJustify left
^^in the system_time.rc file, what font is "timefont" directed to?
not sure what the deal is, i copied/installed all the fonts on my other machine(which runs LS flawlessly) to the 98 machine, and i'm still getting boxed letters.
Any help is appreciated.
there is no "default" font for LS. Your theme is going to define TimeFont somewhere and use it.
You might want to temporarily hardcode that alllabelsfont to something you know exists, just to see what happens. I don't think I've ever tried to set ls to run with a font that doesn't exist, so who knows what will happen.
Wierd thing though...
there's a corrupt font somewhere in my win98 font dir, i believe. the only way for me to fix this issue i think would be to remove ALL fonts and reinstall all the fonts from my xp machine on the 98 machine. what a pain in the ass.
It's not a litestep problem, because.. I just noticed that the text in the installer window (while still in explorer.exe) is boxed as well.. odd -
http://www.digital-dissolution.com/wtf.jpg anyone happen to know what font that is? lol
Yes I gave you that link about repairing the corrupt fonts on irc, looks like you need to do the repair fonts and the like.
