Hi there, I'm brand new to LS, and I just found a theme I really like, the synchronicity theme by omar hussein.

My question is, how do you make it so at the top, when you can choose apps, games, or internet, when you click there are actually options, like apps, games or the net? Whenever I click them nothing happens. I know it has to do with editing some code, and i'm guessing its in the themevars.rc file, but I don't know what to edit to get what I'd like.

Sorry, if I'm not too clear, but could I have some help? >_>

In the litestep folder there should be a folder called 'shortcuts' and in that folder are 4 other folders: 'art', 'job', 'mix', and 'net'. Try putting shortcuts in them and recycle. It should work now.

I dunno if I'm lookin' in the wrong place or what, but I can't find such a folder.

Are you looking in the Litestep folder?

Yeah, in Program Files, right?

by default, it would be in c:\litestep\shortcuts. Also, rossjman1, those 4 folders you have? Those look like they are your personal folders. By default, the shortcuts folder should be empty, waiting for you to populate it.

Well, I found a shortcuts folder, and I'm not sure if it's the right one. It's in C:\Program Files\LiteStep\themes\synchronicity\misc\shortcuts, and in the shortcuts folder there is an games, and inet folder. I put shorcuts in each one, but no luck.

:(

Also, how do you change colors in the cynchronicity theme?

First post: did you recycle LS?

second: if the theme has some pre-made color-themes, you can usually access them using the shift+left click (themepopup) menu. If not, you'll have to edit every image file, and color setting manually.

deuce: Well, I never messed with it. So maybe a theme put those folders in the 'shortcuts' folder?

GamerBoy: Did the theme come with a readme file? If it did, most of the answers to the questions your asking will most likely be in there.

"Desktop shortcuts... on 9x & NT4 you can choose between three different folders whose contents will be displayed on the desktop. Specify the folders in themevars.rc, and control which one is displayed at any given time via the desktop shortcut controls in the queue ('apps' 'games' 'internet'). On 2k/XP, the desktop shortcut queue controls have no effect, and there's no way to disable desktop shortcuts short of commenting out icondesk's *NetLoadModule statement in theme.rc"

Does that mean I can't do it? I'm running XP.
