Hi

I'm new to using the LiteStep. First time I had this program was very long ago, I believe. It did changed my styles COMPLETELY. It was awesome but for some reason I never wanted to use it again but now I do because I'm much more older and understanding what to do.

But right now, I'm quite confused on how this works. I'm sure much of changes occured since then. My question is... it didn't changed the styles completely. What I mean is that my wallpaper didn't changed, first time I used it, it changed by itself. When I install the new themes, it didn't changed everything. Because on the top bar, I'm not sure what it's called, it didn't changed. It stayed like the old Windows styles. =\ I wanna change it the way it looks from the preview. Same thing as the wallpaper, it stays as the default themes but everything else works. Except the wallpaper and the styles.

Please help? :|

I seem cannot find the edit button.

Let me explain the top bar. I know you would be confused what I meant.

The top bar from, any windows you open, like IE for example or AIM. It didn't changed the styles.

Here's the image on what I meant...

In order to skin the windows, you need a program such as StyleXP, Windowblinds, or UXTheme Multipatcher.

StyleXP - http://tgtsoft.com/download.php
Windowblinds - http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/
UXTheme Multipatcher - http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707

After you download one of these, look for a skin that matches your theme :)

I have WindowBlinds. How am I gonna find the perfect skin that would match the LiteStep themes? Even when there around only less than 300 themes for LiteStep while WindowBlinds have thousands @ WinCustomize.

Yeah, window skining isnt handled by shells. You need another app to do so.

Some themes are based on windowblind skins, and authors usually include a link to it in the readme. Most are not though.

About wallpapers, some theme authors include them automatically, some do it but you have to manually set, and some don't. You could always contact the author ans ask what wallpaper they used in their scrennshot though, if you really want it.

Yea, I understand.

Some litestep themes can be like winblinds, like Sage for example.

Alright. LiteStep was better in old times but now, it's not ok for me anymore. Oh well.

Litestep was not better in older times, it is better today than it was yesterday, and yesterday it was better than three years ago.

"Some litestep themes can be like winblinds"

uhh...no...the theme may include a windowblinds skin, but the theme ITSELF does not actually skin anything. not possible.
