can i switch form windows to litestep easy or does litestep take over when u install it

Omar's installer, by default, adds icons to your desktop to switch back to 'set explorer as shell' and 'set litestep as shell'

I also includes a utility called setshell that allows you to switch to whatever shell you want. And of course you can completely uninstall litestep easily.
