So will litestep make win98 the most powerfull system? Or will it be the classical 98 tilting all time?

just about any replacement shell on win98 will make it more stable...

though it won't be any more powerful...just more stable. it mean, it's STILL win98.

Get rid of 98, really. The 9X -series is very very bad when compared to 2k and XP.

And Me is the worst of them all - a true abomination.

The XP Home upgrade is about $100. If you're a student, you should be able to get XP Pro for $87, worst price (Newegg).
If you have, or can upgrade to, 256MB (or more) of RAM, XP will run smoothly.

I often wondered if ME was as bad as everyone said, but recently I've gotten into a few ME based PCs, and yeah, they really are that bad. Win2k and XP get you spoiled.

I'd prefer a PC running 3.11 for workgroups over ME or even MAC OS 7.6

hey, mac os 7.6 was nice, the one that sucked was 8.x
