Desktop background and litestep? Thread last updated on 2003-04-12 08:29:17

I'm guessing I can't set my desktop background on litestep? Because i set mine and the 8 icons on the bottom left were still in the old background but the rest of the screen was working just fine. Do i have to set the background of that section or something?

Recycle Litestep and that should fix it. The module that you are using will put it's background image to the part of the wallpaper that it is over. When you recycle litestep it will make it's background off of the new wallpaper that is behind it. Hope that helps.

And don't have any windows open in that area when you recycle. It will look ugly then :)

I'm having the same problem, but recycling isn't solving it...

Check the shortcut image file...maybe it's made to look that way.

there is a square at the left bottom with icons that shouldnt exist with the old background, and if i click them they'll work... its like i got explorer on the back of litestep but it's set as shell on HKLM and HKLU...
am i stupid or what? it must be something obvious...

sounds like the folder that is used to create your desktop icons has more icons laying around. make the deskfolder area smaller to trim them off or delete the extra files from the folder.

cheers mate, it was exactly that. I've resized the deskfolder window to match the desktop size, looks good now...
