New Member, Hi all.
I've used Litestep on/off for a couple of years now, but one thing
annoys me, all windows are the same old windows. blue title bar across the top etc.
This kinda clashes with my theme and quite frankly just looks boring!
Then I came across WindowBlinds which allows me to make system wide changes to the OS's look and feel (win98 by the way). The thing is this
is neither opensource or freeware.
So does anyone know where I could find a similar app for free or how
to get started on developing my own? I assume it involves GDI and intercepting messages.

Wow... Eppie Efx maybe can skin, not as good as WB though...
WB is pretty cheap... 20USD i think, and there's WB v4 on the way for February (I think), so my advice is to cough the cash and get it when it's out.

Thanks for that libertie. I'll check out Efx although it does seem to
have less features than WB I probably will just cough up the money.
But what WB does really tweaked my interest.
I guess it's time to brush up on my APIs and C++ :)

Deadeyes there is a open source window skinning program called ShellWM you can try out, it also provides the source code as well you can get here.

ShellWM is certainly what you're looking for.

Cheers, I got a copy and had a quick look(only a quick one I am supposed to be in work *cough*)
it does seem to be what I was looking for.

if u want to upgrade to XP, u can use the built in theme engine and just modify the uxtheme.dll so u can run thrid party themes
