ok I know this was stupid , but I installed litestep on my system at work (win98) and it loaded ok, but as soon as I tried to install a theme it killed the shell. I keep getting an error about litestep not being able to run and am left with no shell. I tried to get into my windows dir via dos but I was not able to access it. Has anyone else had this issue? and How do I fix it?all I want at this point is to be able to switch back to windows as my default shell. thanks for the help .

win98? Never ran LS on it, but here's what you jave to do, from what i've read around here. Boot using a boot disk, then browse to sytem.ini in your windows dir, and change the 'shell=' line to explorer

boot disk is not necesary, only for win me. just boot to dos, then do what he said.

or if you want to go oldschool change
shell=explorer.exe
to
shell=progman.exe
