SAme thing happened on my Dell m600. I just thought I'd done something messed up. Any info would be helpful.

easiest way I found to do it on a Dell is to just use vbang and jkey, and bind the winkey and pageup, pagedown, and end to volume up, volume down, and mute respectively. So instead of holding the fn key and hitting end to mute, you just hold the winkey and end to mute....etc

I guess I'm lucky that on my Acer they aren't built into explorer.. they use a little hotkey application sorta.

Actually I tried to tweak it so i could set use my function hey for hotkeys and just do it all manually but no go.. downer :/
