Been a while since last post but want to know if that issue has been fixed? Running litestep when you bowse your pc explorer always starts at high priority ...........which causes bad side effect, lagging music.....

So far only option is to use processswitch 1.0
I am using 0.24.7 rc1 has the issue been fixed in newer releases?

Thanks

I never experienced this problem, and I practically always have my file manager (explorer) and music (fb2k) running. I have RC3 right now, but I never noticed it with RC1 either.

I haven't seen that, but I HAVE noticed that after closing out of City of Heroes a few times, explorer was running (just the process), and hogging up tons of memory/cpu cycles. which is strange, because I didn't have it (or anything else) running before i launched CoH. though it could be a bug with CoH, I dunno.

damnn so why the hell does my explorer run at high priority?.........

IS there maybe a reg fix for this I dont want to keep using processeswitch.

its odd, when I try starting explorer via cmd prompt and changing the priority it never works explorer always stays high, but any other app I can change the priority

Should be able to open up the task manager and change it from there, but after a log off or reboot you will have to do it agian.. I belive there are applications out there that will change priority on launch, but I don't have a problem doing it myself if I need to. I didn't think this was a Litestep issue either. Just another one of those Microsoft quirks?
