Litestep isn't an OS, its a Shell replacement...
Windows OS has a shell (explorer.exe) it's manages the windows, the start button the popup, the systraay, etc...What Litestep does is replace the windows shell with it's own shell Litestep.exe, because it's fully customizable, this makes Litestep a real good choice for windows users...
But you can also use litestep on other systems (Mac & Linux) I think....

No, Litestep is a *Windows* shell, that means it runs on Windows only.

how i can download litestep ?

Posted by member 365 on 2003-02-01 07:16:03 link

you can still use litestep, but the install is diferent, can't help you there, since I don't use litestep in my XPcomputer.
Check the http://www.shellfront.org web page for litestep downloads, and you might want to check out http://www.joeblade.com for (I think) install in XP & 2000...
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong....^_^

Yeah Omar's installer is the perfect way for a newbie to get acquainted with Litestep. Take a look at the themes here for an idea of what you can do with it too.
