New to litestep, have created a homesite parser for its configuration files and was wondering whether a) this kind of thing already exists and b) would be of use to ne1....

why HomeSite? Doesn't everyone already use UltraEdit?

Tried both and HomeSite has features I couldn't live without, all the developers i work with also use it. Putting this aside is there a sytax highlighter/parser available for .rc?

There was one written for UltraEdit long ago. jalist used to host it on LS2K back in the day. I wonder if he still has it somewhere.

Another question on the subject. Does anyone know of a emacs major-mode for .rc files?

yes, and he also was a developer of shellwm, but they can't get in touch with him, and his site is down.

He's been MIA for a while. Probably busy with RL, I'm positive that he'll be back at some point though.

Well, one exists for HomeSite now also - more bases covered the better. If anyone wants it/would like to help develop it let me know...
