It works ok on explorer but when on LS, I can see them but they dont update,at all even recycling several times.
Im the administrator on XP pro.
Please help,
I like LS but this is bottering me a lot.
What an I doing wrong.
I log in explorer same way I log In LS.
this list isnt updated because explorer does log and refresh this list and since its not the shell anymore it stops doing that - LS doesnt keep track of your opened files either, but every better app does that for you anyway like Word, Textpad, bsplayer, whatever
That dont seem right, cause LS does update the list on My 98SE system.
and if that were true what would be the sence of having a !PopupRecentDocument command.
well, you got a point there ... but its not working on my winxp system - lets wait for someone who knows better ...
SHAddToRecentDocs (the API which your programs use to add files to that menu) appears to depend on explorer on NT-based Windows versions. As always the inner workings are undocumented. The problem is known; the only workaround that I can think of is using RdocEx from
mlin.net.
I downloaded RdocEx (Mike Lin has such great tools!) But I don't see how it fixes this problem.
