LS rc3 and playing DVDs Thread last updated on 2004-07-02 20:57:30

Somebody notice problems with the compatability in playing DVDs and the new LS build? I know I use to have zero problems, but not is seems I can only watch DVDs if I force quit Litestep .24.7 rc3. Gradually quitting it doesn't seem to work.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I've debugged every loaded DLL including loading old themes I use to run during the time I was able to watch movies (that was the easy part since this theme is only the second one every installed on this system).

Any ideas as to why?

Down grade to a previous build and tell us if the problem goes away.

I don't have a problem watching dvd's, and I'm running rc3...what exactly is the issue you're having?

I have yet to figure out what the problem is. It's quite simple; screen goes completely blank while in full screen. While dragging the window the entire desktop flickers. Transparentcy on my YzDock docker doesn't show (everything has a grey block background over the DVD window).

I recently setup a 2 monitor system at work and it works just fine on my second monitor so I'm really at a lost as to what's wrong.

It's not the monitor either, originally it was a laptop in a docking station. I moved it out and use the dock station monitor as my secondary monitor. It still happens on the primary desktop (my laptop screen).

ummm...maybe your laptop display adapter isn't powerful enough to have transparency turned on?

It use to work at one time. What ever the primary monitor is, it tends to flake out. Secondary works just fine. Meaning, I can switch the monitors and the external monitor will have problems.
