Can anyone out there help me here? I'd like to figure out how to at least have the option of switching back to WindowsXP. I tried changing the System.ini shell line back to Explorer, with no response -- I still get booted back into LS.

So you are looking to be able to switch your shell from Litestep back to Explorer? A shell swapper like snafkin can do that without manual labor. Not sure if thats what you're asking.

litestep includes a tool that's called setshell, guess what's that for. also there is a shortcut in your desktop pointing to this tool that says *set explorer as shell*. double click on it and see what happens..
