I have a problem with one program using litestep. When I open this program, the window does not appear. I can see in the taskmanager that the program is opened, but that's all. The program is the hercules dj console control panel for my external sound card.

I don't have this problem with any other program, although I must say I haven't got much installed yet.

Perhaps anyone has had the same problem with this or another program, and can help me out.

last note: i am new to litestep, please be detailed in your answers or i'll get very confused ;)

PS: i used the installer by omar on a XP system, the problem exists on all themes

Does ALT+Tab bring it to the foreground ?

nope, the screen is not even visible on the taskbar, all i can do with the program is close it, cause i only see it in the task manager when i press CTRL+ALT+DEL

And from the "CTRL+ALT+DEL" task manager, if you right click to popup the menu and choose "bring to foreground" ?

also have you tried minimizing and then maximizing from task manager?

Bringing to foreground did not work, but when i the maximize it from task maneger, the screen appears. As soon as i mimimize it again, it is not visible anymore, but that's not so important. Thank you both very much for your help!

What ? Is that all ? Your problem doesn't seem to be fixed !
You shouldn't give up so easily !!!
Now that your application can be show, it's only the begining :)

I guess you already have lsxcommand loaded. Then, from it, type:
!netreloadmodule literunner-2.2
!netreloadmodule one-0.7

- Bring the application to the foreground using maximize from the task manager;

- move your mouse to the window's titlebar and type in lsxcommand:
!literunneridentify

You will get the window's Class/Caption (be carefull, it's case sensitive)

- now, try to play with !one to see what happen:
!one [WindowClass] [] .none .minimize
!one [WindowClass] [] .none .restore
!one [WindowClass] [] .none .focus
!one [WindowClass] [] .none .show
!one [WindowClass] [] .none .hide
