Hi, I'm using the Rhodium Edge theme by 143lsstep wich uses the systray 2-2.0 module. For some reason the systray shows only a few icons, and doesn't show my MSN messenger icon for instance. Might this be a bug of the module? Or is something wrong on my PC
Oh, yeah, I'm using the 0.24.7 RC2 build of litestep.
Tnx

You could:
1)Switch theme and see if the problem continues.
2)Switch to explorer as shell and see if the problem continues.
3)what operating system are you running
4)post back with that info.

5) try a newer version of systray2

Hi! Tnx for the info so far.
1) Switching theme doesn't help, or so it seems. switched to austerity, and the problem remains.
2) When I switch to explorer, all the icons are there, like they should, it seems that only in litestep the problem appears
3)I'm using Windows XP professional SP1.
4) done :)

Oh, and I have tried a newer version of systray 2, but that didn't solve the problem

tnx

I've found out something new. My keyboard software has a feature that shows an icon in the systray when num lock is on. If num lock is on when I start windows, I can see the icon.
So it seems as if Systray is just showing me the icons of the resident programs at startup, but doesn't update it with new icon, (wich would explain the MSN messenger icon, since Litestep before MSN messenger).

Elkmonster, I owe you one! Like in the first post, it was indeed trayserver.exe that was running, and preventing the icons from showing. When I killed it, suddenly all my trayicons appeared.
Tnx :)

doodles: Good question. I couldn't find it via my rigth click menu. I have a shortcut to it in my quicklaunch dir though. On XP, taskmgr is at C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe. If you're into icons put a shortcut on your desktop.
