Hall of mirrors -effects Thread last updated on 2004-05-22 13:44:56

I've noticed a hall-of-mirrors -effect when maximizing certain windows in LS. The problem is apparently caused by the programs unwillingness to draw its window borders when maximized (they wouldn't be seen anyway), and thus, when the desktop doesn't fill the whole screen, it creates a several pixel wide region, which isn't cleared or redrawn (for example when you could see a maximized window's bottom border).

The only application, which I can confirm to do this is Directory Opus, but I suppose there must be others.

Does anyone know any workarounds or solutions to this problem?

Do you use windowblinds? If you do, it's prolly what's causing the problem. If that's the case, you can have windowblinds ignore directory opus (it's one of the options inside the windowblinds config) and that should fix it.

I have no visual enchantments installed.
Tested with an another theme, it's probably in LS and/or the fact that normally Windows doesn't let this feature get shown.
Not a big nuisance, but nuisance anyway.
