So far, I've not found any server threads, and/or issues in the forum. Likely, I haven't searched far enough, and I'm gonna sound like - well - a noob. Oh well.

I've found that some select few apps that run well on XP won't run right on 2003 Enterprise. Are there any issues that one should be aware of when installing on a server platform?

The server is not critical, it belongs to me, and I plan on reading a lot more documentation .. but, if other server people have guidelines to offer I'm all ears.

Well, I got impatient, and installed. Installation went flawlessly and painlessly. I'm admiring the new desktop now, and I'll probably spend the rest of the day exploring what I can do with it.

All services and applications are running properly, though it appeared that some loaded in a different order. That isn't a certainty, but it appeared that way.
