Dual monitors and Litestep Thread last updated on 2004-06-26 01:15:02

Well, I just bought a new monitor and thought I could make use of that awesome looking DVI thing on the back of my gfxcard. Well, everything is set up and it should work as it should, BUT!

Is there any kind of support for dual monitors? Like I'm using the Thin skin on The Gathering theme, is there a way to make the bar on both screens? Also, it would seem that there isn't a desktop on the other monitor, no popups open up when right clicked.

Also, now that I'm in the middle of this, is there mayhap a guide with general guidelines on how to set this up wisely? I can't even get one of those spiffy dual display wallpapers working.

As stated in the 50 other themes on dual-monitors...LS handles dual-monitors...just most themers don't theme for it. The Gathering if acting like you described would be partially configured for it since the bar appears completely on one monitor. Now all you would need to do is add stuff over on the other side. As for your desktop size...you will need to edit your DesktopArea values so that it recognizes that you want to use the extra desktop space.

The Search function was down and I knew that I would get my head chopped off if I started a thread but I got no patience.

The search function works for individual categories just fine.

But what if I have 2 different resolutions (e.g. a 1024x768@75Hz on Top of my 1280x1024@85Hz Screen
(ATI Radeon 9800Pro with Dual VGA out))?
Now I have to edit 2 different DesktopAreas...

Glaze is a good theme for using multimonitors. I use it and love it, although after alittle configuring Shell-Shocked worked for me multimonitor-wise too. Hope you get it working.
