Well, I kinda wanted to put the icons on the start menu, like uh, the "Shutdown" icons and all, and the last thing i posted never got answered correctly but i thank you for trying, the problem with it is, is that it only shows shortcuts and my breifcase on the desktop, it will not show my documents or my computer etc. but i would like to know both of the two, i'm using the new "XP Lite" theme, kinda new to this.

Shutdown icon...get popup 2.1.7, it has real docs. .icon= should do it. Trick is you have to find a file with that icon, and find the offset if it has multiple icons.

As far as my documents and such, it's something with deskfolders. You might want to try a different theme. many of the best ones don't try to look like XP :).

In the main popup (right-click desktop), you can go to file manager, and there's everything you need.

one major approach would be to give your threads different names, because people won't waste their time looking up every thread just for the case that they have the knowledge to help in the particular case. "help?" or something the like will rather be ignored, because people at this board tend to answer specific questions.
it's frustrating looking up threads and finding out that you don't know about the module or whatever the question is.
i don't use desktop icons, i wouldn't have stumbled in here if i wasn't such a kind guy ;)

so sorry about not being able to help... but remember, it's also up to you.
(note: this isn't meant to be harsh... but there're people who would have meant to be... ^^ )

you two took out time in both of your lives to "try" and insult me, but no worry Cerbie helped me, because we all do start out asking questions, do we not? Whether or not you find the answers on your own or someone telling you, you're still asking yourself a question, now please, do me a favor? Do not post anything that is not related to my post, thank you :)

Well...I need help with this nasty rash. Can you help me with that...cuz I need help...and help is what this thread is all about!

I need help re-doubleing my walking speed. I've gotten kind of slow lately. I mean, I used to go about 2.5 times as fast as everyone else, but now I go around 1.5 times as fast. :(

Not to be mean, but I've always thought topic names like that were stupid, and I'm not even close to being a hacker or anything.

Anyways, I don't know about a shutdown icon, unless you mean the one in the start bar, and I don't know how to get that. I do know how to create a batch file that will restart windows, and by using a shortcut, configure it to use any icon I want and run faster. I've also seen other versions that will shut down the computer, but I haven't tried them yet.

As for My Computer, I just put a shortcut on the desktop and use that. That reminds me, I forgot the recycle bin...

don't worry about it, i got rid of litestep all together, i found it insanely stupid. for some of the simple facts like, it's hardly user friendly and it loves to crash for no apparent reason.. i'm running windows, what could be worse then explorer with all it's problems? well i know the answer it's name is LiteStep, the biggest pos in the world.. lol I think the makers of it had great effort but uh, not for me, and i do not recommend it for anyone else. the icons on the desktop are supposed to make your life more simple.. it's convient, taking them away is like adding more problems, now what's so horrid about an icon on a desktop.. i don't know but ok. oh and uhmn, i don't think you need help with just your rash, maybe your spelling could use a few tweaks. "cuz" :)

*yawn*
LsBox is the only thing I've ever had issues with, crashing when you least expect it. And that's using LS since .24.5 was beta, and I was picked on for using NT4 for a gaming OS. Read the "Litestep might not be for you if..." sticky thread in the general section.

"it's hardly user friendly" uh, yeah. so? it's the "complexity" that gives it it's flexibility.
"it loves to crash" then you're doing something wrong, or you downloaded a bad theme. I can't even recall the last time LS crashed on me.
"the icons on the desktop are supposed to make your life more simple" yes. they are. if you LIKE them. and a lot of people don't. that's why LS gives you the choice whether or not to include them.

hey, if you don't like LS, by all means, go away. I think we'll get over it.
