MS Bluetooth + jkey + vol = ? Thread last updated on 2004-05-04 19:06:20

I have been reading thread after thread to figure out how to get back most of the functionality of my bluetooth kb. I have found out what the hex code for all the buttons are... added them to the jkey custom doc... added that info to the hotkey file and... nothing... :(

Is there any way to allow just one key to be a hotkey?

*Hotkey VOL_UP !sliderVolumeUp 0

is what I am using with LSSlider to control the volume. Please help as it seems the vol keys are the only ones that don't have any functionality any more. Also is there a way to decrease how much LSS ups/downs the volume?

If winamp is the active window, then mouse wheel works volume

I'm not looking to control winamp volume. I'm looking to control the volume for the entire system

*Hotkey .none VOL_UP !sliderVolumeUp 0
That should work, unless jKey is really really strict about emulating HotKey, as opposed to just using the same config statements. Anyway, something like that should do it.

Nope... no luck with that... it's kind of annoying b/c when I press the volume keys it still brings up this on screen volume slider showing me what the volume is currently set at but it just refuses to actually let the volume go up or down

Have you tried the bangs through some other means?
Or other volume modules?

!sliderVolumeUp looks kinda shady...but that could be me. I could have sworn there was another module just written to do volume controls with bangs.

use anykey it can use subcode which is what most extra keys on the keyboard use http://loose-screws.com/mdownload.php?id=379 and try v_bang lite or pcp volume on loose-screws.com
