I have a label which displays the active task, all is ok unless the active task contains a backslash (a path to a file for instance), they just don't show up. I am sure this must be due the fact that backslashes are used to for escape characters.

Is there a modifier function I can use to correct the display? Maybe replace('\','\\') or something like that? I have read the docs for xLabel and searched the forums to no avail.

you could externally simulate active task for a label, but that sounds like too much work.
