Transparency Question Thread last updated on 2004-08-24 13:29:59

If the new versions of litestep support png why does true transparency not work with anti-aliased art. For example I have a rounded lsbox for both my winamp functions and my vwm functions but right now I am faking transparency by creating the drop shadow in photoshop then filling the background to match my desktop.

Does anyone know a way to create true transparency in litestep with anti-aliased artwork.

you can get it if the module supports it.

32bit png support isnt in the core, only some modules as skinbox and layercuts (and the next version of xlabel) support perpixel transparency.

doesnt litestep fake transperency with a certain color code or is that way old and no longer the case?

I think you're referring to magic pink, FF00FF. and, some of the modules do support it, but not (I believe) all.
