the theme details in the themes download pages should have the file size in the details.... i think its important too. other litestep theme sites have the file size displayed. hmmmmmm........
If possible it would be nice to know what OS they were developed for too!:)
maledicto: File size is possible to be pulled but I don't see where users benefit from knowing the file size.
Ghostcat: Knowing the OS it was developed for means nothing. LS is basically OS independent if it is written correctly. If the theme is not written correctly you are talking about editing two lines in the step.rc to fix it.
DeViLbOi: there are quite a few modules nowadays like layercut, grdtransparent, apppath, apptrans, etc. etc. which only work on Win2K/XP... if a theme relies heavily on layercut it's sadly not just a matter two lines to make it 9x compatible, try to convert [noir] to 9x and you'll see =)
given the current situation with 2k/xp only modules, i too, think os info. could be useful - for 9x users at least. ;)
Don't take this wrong...but those 9x users need to upgrade. :) Ill see what I can get done.
thinking of file size... wouldn't it be nice if everyone submitted their screenshots at 1600x1200? I find myself squinting and zooming a lot... or maybe a second screenshot would be nice for those with infinite bandwidth to enjoy... no sites really do this with screenshots and I just thought it would be nice.
there are very few users who can actually do 1600x1200. Those of us who can, like myself, are forced to deal with users at 640x480. However, creating a zoomed image for you is not an effective use of the site. Sorry.
DeViLbOi, I agree: an upgrade to 2k/xp is in order whenever possible. ;)
Anyway, thanks for listening, and congrats to the ls.net team for all their fine work. :D
Now Don't take *this* wrong, but I would never, ever want to be involved in running an ls theme site... gives me headaches just thinking about it. :P
