I tried to do a search, but its down, AND I know i saw it somewhere in a menu, but I cant for the LIFE of me find it again. I would like to kill all the desktop icons (not delete, just hide)

depends on the theme.. the simplest way is not to load the module which displays the icons. it's probably icondesk (or deskfolders). just find the right *NetLoadModule line and put a ; in the beginning of it. save and recycle and u should be fine :)
