anyone got any luck in solving this problem? I'm using Gnome RC2 theme with ckVWM. It works wonderfully except for the VWM.

it is not able to function properly for applications that are maximised.

I'm using WinXP with Classic Windows theme... anyone know whats a good fix for this annoying problem?

The latest ckVWM release, 1.41, attempts to fix this problem. Works fine over here so far. :)

still doesn't work for me. upgraded to 1.41 and the same problem existed.

i've the vwm layout as

1 2
3 4

the funny thing is, if the application is launched in desktop 1 ... maximized application will show on my taskbar for desktop 3, but not desktop 2 and 4

maybe some settings... any clues?

Hm, classic windows isn't supposed to have this problem. How exactly does it not function properly? Do the maximized windows follow you? From your second comment, it sounds like you're using HideTaskOnSwitch and the maximized windows aren't properly hidden.

oh yes i'm using HideTaskOnSwitch, the maximized window doesnt exactly follow me when i switch desktops, its just that the task is not hidden from the taskbar for desktop 3 if i launch it in desktop 1, but its hidden in desktop 2 and 4

?

The only suggestion I can give is to try rabidvwm-1.1.1, which may not change anything, but is at least a different implementation. If it still happens there then I might be able to help.
