Error - "Can't Find Box....' Thread last updated on 2004-07-19 19:14:11

Okay i'm not that much of a ls newbie, but then maybe I am. It seems several themes that use "boxes" always give me errors. I installed the theme "maxlist" today, and it gives me these errors:

LsBox Error:

Can't load .Box File:
C:\Litestep\profiles\Dj

I get the exact same error when installing or using themes that uses lsbox.

When I installed Litestep, I installed it to only apply to my user, so that if something ever messed up, i could log into a seperate user using explorer.

I'm assuming this is possibly an error becuase my username ( Dj Finch) has a space in it? I tried altering the theme.rc and typed in the full location of the box, even tried replacing any spaces with "%20". No luck. I'm going to try making a new user with no spaces, applying litestep to that, and then installing the theme...

Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks guys...

Seems like the themer forgot to put "quotes" around the paths. If that's the case send a bugreport to the themer (possibly on the theme's page so that future users are warned).

I've got the same problem. I got Maxlist working. But the problem persists with Isotanium.

For some reason, it just insists that it can't find start.box, when the file is clearly there. What can I do?

search your config files for "start.box" (or whatever .box file is not loading) and then put quotes around the entire parameter.

Actually, what I ended up doing was googling 'isotanium ots2' and then downloading an OTS2 version of isotanium from this website I found, http://www.litestep.co.kr, and then I played around with the paths a bit, and everything worked fine.

By the way, there's now an isotanium2! It's a little bit better, to the max! (www.litestep.co.kr)

Thanks for the help.
