I installed LiteStep on my computer and have a problem on startup. It will hang for awhile and then it will finally boot up. My CPU seems to spike for a bit too. I don't know why it does this, and was wondering if anyone could help me out.

My box's stats are as follows:

AMD 1800+XP
512 MB PC2100
60GB HDD
GeForce 2 TI64
DLINK NIC

Uhm... decent hardware stats, but could you post software stats as well? Such as, which version of Windows you're using, and which build you installed/where you got it from. From the little bit you've posted, it sounds like the hangup is happening before even Windows loads, let alone LiteStep.

And don't forget to check out the docs and faq. :)

Ohh duh... I forgot the Software stats. Alrighty..

Windows 2000 Pro (SP3)
LiteStep 2.1 (beyondconvention.net)

I checked out the docs and FAQ.. nothin really helped. Please help me :)

I'm having this problem also ever since I changed to the skylight theme. I'll post my specs and what not alittle later on if maybe anyone can help since I have to run and take a midterm now :/

It's a version of Omar's Litestep installer.
It contains a recent version of a Litestep "indie" build, I believe.

ah i just changed the step.rc and switched the theme. i didnt like it that much anyways.

It's always called "LiteStep Installer 2.1" which leads many people to believe the LiteStep version was 2.1... it comes with the 2002-12-09 Indie LS build though.
