I'm what you might call a nubian to litestep so I'll be quick. After loading any theme a couple of things don't change at all. First of all the background remains the same as I have set up, the one on the preview doesnt show. Is this normal? And an other thing, is the skin of the normal windows supposed to change? eg. Im in file manager browsing my files, is it supposed to look like the normal window I had before litestep? If yes can litestep work with let's say styleXP to change the windows outlook? Just a stupid question. :)

LiteStep doesn't change anything but the desktop interface. LiteStep will _not_ skin any windows on its own, and I'm not aware of any modules which skin windows as well. You need something like WindowBlinds or StyleXP or another program of the like. On their own, they tend to be resource hogs, but they cooperate with LS just as well as Exploder.

As for wallpapers, ... If the theme doesn't come with a wallpaper, check the readmes for info on where/how to grab 'em. If _that_ doesn't help, well, you're SOL. (If you have a good collection or access to one, it won't be so bad. Just change papers with the control panel like you did with Exploder. :)

LiteStep works fine with StyleXP. it will only skin the Windows. LS taskbar and systray will stay not be skinned by it.
if you don´t already have StyleXP then don´t buy it. in the end it´s just one patched dll that allows you to use unsigned visual styles. this dll is available for free.

And StyleXP is not a memory hog if properly configured (in the menu there is an item: not to use resources...)

after I use the lightstar dll thing, can I just activate a theme from the windows display properties or does it have a prog of it's own? I could test this myself but I'm at work and I get off in an hour (anxious) :)
