I understand that a LiteStep log can be started in the step.rc. What is the command?

LSLogFile "$LiteStepDir$litestep.log"
LSLogLevel 4

'4' means DEBUG level (i.e. all messages)
also you can specify 3, 2, and 1 :)

Thanks for the information. Could I use the same general code for the modules, such as rainlendar?

Only modules that use those logging functions.
