Find files and folders Thread last updated on 2004-02-27 05:06:33

I'm under Winxp. Since I got litestep (few days ago) I miss that "find files and folders" function. Does anybody know how to access it through Popup? I mean, a shortcut, a !bang, an !execute, or whatever, but not another module.

The only clue I could find was in Virtual Plastic:

But so far they have bad news.

Currently, whenever I want to search something, I open Explorer and click the search icon in the toolbar.

Any better idea?

Thank you, Devil. I had seen that module. But I was looking for a simple command line or some trick to call the traditional search window, without having to load another module. Perhaps that's out of reach.

Oops, you're right Devil. It's the same name of a find module, that's why I got it wrong. Sorry I didn't pay atention before, it does work fine. I'll try it for a while now.

143lsstep, that's what I was doing too. Guess it's not so bad, since I usually search something and use Explorer to do some work on it (move, copy, rename, etc). If only I could open Explorer already in Search mode, I'd be satisfied.
