No new wallpaper when installing new theme Thread last updated on 2004-02-23 11:06:43

Hi there,

i downloaded several new themes and installed. All works fine, but the new wallpapers won't appear (only the wallpaper from the HAL theme appeared).

What I'm doing wrong?

probably nothing. normally wallpapers are not included with themes.

that doesn't work. the original litestep wallpaper is always the background. do i have to change any litestep-files?

you may be trying to set a jpg as wallpaper. use only bmp images.

That struck me as a somewhat problem aswell. While browsing i figured i'd try the built in "Set as wallpaper" command in Mozilla Firefox. Surprisingly that did the trick, try loading your desired wallpaper in IE or whatever browser you use and right click> Set as wallpaper. :)
