Let me try to describe this. Essentially only selective parts of the taskbars are appearing. In Austerity, for example, only the Vdesk, and mini-bar (i think thats what its called, the thingy with the clock and mini-icons) appear. The tasks and other buttons and icons do not appear. I try using !bang commands (no effect) and couldnt really detect what was wrong from the .rc files. I tried uninstall/reinstall but the same bug still appears. I also reinstalled windowblinds, as the bug seemed to occur after uninstalling it, but that didnt do anything. Any help is appreciated, and how can I show a screenshot?
Additionally, winamp controls do not appear. I discovered that by moving it to the top, it works. Everything disapears only when on the bottom (still, I like it on the bottom, so still help:)) All of the buttons appear to be enabled according to the jdesk shift+left click menu.
maybe when you uninstall and reinstall it you should go and delete the themes folder in your documents and settings folder.
did the modules download/load correctly?
Starfury: When I uninstalled, the whole litestep directory disappeared.
Duece, Modules seem to download correctly, and they work, at least in austerity when the bar is at the top. In other themes, random things don't work, but i never got an error when installing the theme.
if you are using xp then the themes are stored in documents and settings (unless its set differently) which can mean there might be remaining files.
Check C:\documents and settings\user name\application data\ for a litestep folder after you uninstall. If there still is one then something is getting left behind.
Yeah, I dont need multiuser support, so I just had my themes install into C:\litestep
I think I fixed the problem. I had multi-monitors enabled.. and the other monitor was set at 1280X insted of 1028X resolution, and something caused a conflict, cause when I disabled the second monitor.. everything worked!
I had similar issues. I'm not sure what caused it the first time, but when I uninstalled and reinstalled it was fixed. Then it happened a second time -- when I tried to add a "deskfolder" to the desktop (no real reason...just trying to learn). I figured out that it was because the deskfolder overlapped the taskbar.
