What the HELL happened to this program??? I used Litestep HEAVILY about 3 or 4 years ago, which was at the time a great replacement for Explorer, WAY more functionality, and the company I worked for appreciated my increased performance because of it!

When I flipped on TechTV and saw them touting Litestep, I wanted to try it again.

WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE!!!! Environment variables are STILL OVERUSED EXCESSIVELY (as if i thought 0.24.5 was bad) and the theme support makes you think you're still using Explorer. Can we make a simple shell replacement ANY HARDER TO USE??? I didn't want to spend an ENTIRE day setting up and configuring a SHELL REPLACEMENT!!!

All in all, a totally garbage program, and I cannot BELIEVE I will have to REFORMAT my drive to make sure all this shitty program's errata is gone forever..

I can't believe it too... and I won't :)

I guess we are wrong, the thousands of people using litestep are wrong, "TheSlider" 3-4 years back is wrong, Tech Tv is wrong and yeah.... u are right..... and seeing it took u a day to setup litestep indicates that how slow u are.... so it must have taken a week for you to write the above.... ;)

I like it.

Ya know, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism might have been nice. All I get from this is "TheSlider is so unhappy that he created an account here just to whine."

What should we use instead of $constants$? What's wrong with having a default theme that feels like Explorer, especially when that's what most newbies ask for? And who cares about a few hours setup and config time if it saves so much time during actual use? At least that would give us some insight into why you are having so much more trouble than everyone else.

But then I guess TheSlider was probably just lashing out (as am I, I suppose...) and will never be back to provide any sort of help towards progress. If you're so eager to accept failure, that's what you'll get.

(hm, "Can we make a simple shell replacement any harder to use?" Would you like me to try? hwahahaha... ;)

Hope you forgot to back anything up so its not lost and I hope to never see you again. If the only thing yoiu have to do in your spare time is to make an account just to post that then the time it takes to format shouldn't be a problem for you but for the rest of us that actually have lives and value our time will go on useing LS. OH and LS has gotten better and continues to do so. Now farwell to the ignorent one, don't return please.

DeViLbOi is there any way you can deleat this wast of space thread? It does nobody any good, and it was writen by a person who didn't even look past the default theme or pay any real attention to what LS has really become. I believe I speak for many when I say he/she is wrong and we don't need a thread such as this one cluttering up the forum. To the dev team keep up the good work.

Just because someones opinion of LS is not positive doesn't mean that it is not valid. Users have a right to there opinion and if they feel that using exploder is the better option so be it. Some very valid discussions have come out of similar threads in the past and I am hoping that either the same happens here, or people let it go.

"Environment variables are STILL OVERUSED EXCESSIVELY"...uh, if they weren't, then distributing themes would be a pain in the butt.

What can LS do to make you format your drive? Sounds more like a machine problem or dare I say the problem is between the chair and keyboard if your preformance increased enough to where your supervisors notice I would have to say that LS was making you look good. I myself have not had the oppurtuninty to format my own PC in at least two years and I run Mandrake and XP Pro. So, instead of spewing your BS here I suggest you send your negative comments to support@microsoft.com
