I deleted the lite step folder and restarted into win XP now, all i have is my background, no taskbar, no nuthing.

How do i solve this?

press ctrl-shift-escape to open the task manager, you can run applications through its file menu.

Jeez! Have you ever read the manual? I think not. There is a clear description how to *properly* deinstall litestep. Just deleting the litestep folder doesn't do it.

SenexFerox nobody reads the manual we wrote...its nothing new. Heck people can't even read the front page news to find out where to download LS.

Yes it gets a bit frustrating, then you see reviews with people saying it's bad and it broke their computer etc etc. Head over to lsfaq.shellfront.org and read about how to uninstall litestep in windows xp. Because you didn't uninstall it properly, you will have to do some manual registry hacking.

You could try to uninstall it via add/remove programs first, but because you deleted the directory, I doubt it would work.

Mmm... uninstalling programs by just deleting their folder is a bad habit...

How do you do that? I mean over here on win2k you can't delete a running program. So how can you delete the shell without knowing how to do stuff without a shell running?
