How is everyones connection to this site? Do people find it fast/slow/normal/timeouts etc when comapred to other websites you visit? If you have a junky connection in general, then you don't need to let us know that. :) I'm just trying to get a feel for how it has been holding up these first couple of months. Thanks. (No, you do not need to use this thread to state what you think of the site itself. Thanks again). =)
i'm on an *.edu connection which is OC-3 i believe and this site loads as fast as is necessary. holding up nicely.
I have a dialup conection (here in Brazil) and the site is fast and I have no error or timeouts.
I think it's really good.
BTW, I'm using Opera 7 and the site loads with no error or layout diference from IE.
Just an adendum (is that the way I should spell it?) to my early post:
I can even post threads in the forums. That's amazing for a dialup connection, specially in the country I live (Brasil).
I'm on fast cable connection and this site loads quickly (from Finland/EU). No errors.

DSL 640x256 Site is butter smooth from Portland, OR...

Here in France, it's perfect (faster than any other site I browse), I've got a cable liaison type 128/512.
And this site is CLEAN, well designed and a real pleasure for the eyes :)
im in argentina, on a dsl and it´s insanely fast
I've gotten very respectable load times, even on dialup.
While the page content loads almost immediately, IE5.5 on win2k insists on reloading the corner/betweentab graphics when going from page to page in the same session.
I have a 512/128 connection and this site always very slow...
I'm joking. In fact, there's eMule that eating all my bandwidth.
But the timeout is sometime too short when I reply to some questions
Northern VA, RCN backbone on dialup...no probs here...
Humm, I've tried without running eMule...

Im on RR cable modem (which may have been bought out - thank gawd!) and it loads fast as hell.

I only get about 4.5k/s on my BT broadband connection and it's a bit slow for me, but i'm fussy and british so just ignore this comment if you want to.
On my HCCNet ADSL connection on the KPN Mxstream network this site works fine. It's one of the fastest sites I know.
P.S. A week ago my account ( SenexFerox ) got totally blocked. Any password I entered was incorrect, even the ones I got by the lost password service. I disabled my Proxomitron, tried another browser, nothing helped. Has this something to do with the forum move? I've already mailed webmaster@litestep.net about this (the reply address in the lost password mails) but have got no reply.
Senex.Ferox - your account was banned from the site. Now play nice with this one before I ban you again.
Stationary wireless at home, and T1+ here at work - I've never had any problems.
