Basically, I would love the ability to select currently installed modules over downloading ones.

I don't konw about you, but I really dispise having 5 different versions of Popup2 cause different themes have different versions associated with them.

I would REALLY love the ability to tell the module downloader to use X module that's already downloaded in place of one it's asking to download.

example: it popups up saying I need to download Popup2-2.1.2, I want to tell it to use Popup2-2.1.6 that's already in my modules folder.

Oh wait, I found it. Right click!

I'll leave this post here for others that don't know where it is. cause I didn't. ;)

you're liable to break whatever theme you are using, because a lot of times a module's settings/ functionality will change from version to version. So, if a theme is expecting to load a specific version because it uses a specific feature/ setting, then it'll break when that version isn't loaded. Just something to keep in mind.

That I understand and I'm willing to take that chance. I understand how themes work on the backend. I'm able to fix what ever I intentionally break.

I just got tired of seeing my modules directory expand exponentionally with every theme I install.

just edit the *NetLoadModule line in theme.rc
