"Open Folder" button after downloading doesn't work. Thread last updated on 2004-02-12 08:25:46

After downloading a file using Internet Explorer, the "Open Folder" button doesn't do anything. Did anyone noticed that?

Similar commands work fine in Mozilla/Firebird/Firefox browser, but not Internet Explorer with LiteStep. Is there a fix?

My version of LS is 0.24.6
I'm running Windows XP, but I think the bug did the same to Windows 98 and 2000.

That's a DDE issue. Don't use 0.24.6, use one of the 0.24.7 builds instead. They have a builtin DDE server. Better yet, use the LS Installer 3.0.2.

I just installed LS Installer 3.0.2, but it still didn't solve the "Open Folder" issue.

Add LSUseSystemDDE to your personal.rc file and reboot. This MAY take care of it.

It has been set already (and even I tried disabling it), but it still doesn't fix the problem. Does the "Open Folder" button in IE work for you guys?

Nope, has never worked regardless of any of the DDE settings in LS. Figured this was a known bug and either there was no work around, or it was still being pondered on. If I'm mistaken and LS shouldn't be having this problem let me know please. It's not too big of a deal, but can be annoying sometimes

Hurm... sounded like a DDE problem anyway. =)
