I just installed _underscore_ theme and found it to be quite powerful little theme.

It's using sysvwm-7.0 as the window manager which is fine and all, but i'm having 1 problem. I can't seem to get the VWM to always be on top. I set 'VWMAlwaysOnTop' inside the VWM.rc file and even inside my personal.rc file, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Anybody else have any success in this?

switch to either ckvwm or rabidvwm. sysvwm isn't really used any mroe.

hey there. i'm new to litestep and had the same problem with sysvwm. i switched to ckvwm, but now i can't make it transparent with grdtransparent (in the same _underscore_ theme). am i missing something? thanks!

by the way, the command line is:
*grdTransparent ckvwm-1.40.dll $transparentlvlvwm$ 2

change to just "ckvwm"

no, dogbert, it didn't work:

*NetLoadModule ckvwm-1.40
(...)
*grdTransparent ckvwm $transparentlvlvwm$ 2

fortunately, i came to know that rabidvwm does the transparency trick by itself AND its "always on top" feature works. is it heavier than sysvwm or ckvwm? if not, i'll stick to it.

ckvwm-1.40.dll is correct if you're loading ckvwm via NLM. Maybe it just doesn't like being made transparent. ;) Check the load order of your modules, modules to be made transparent must be loaded before grdtransparent.

hello ilmcuts. indeed, the modules order was misplaced. but I guess ckvwm is not very fond of getting transparent, 'cos it didn't work at all. on the other hand, sysvwm and rabidvwm go transparent without problem.
anyway, thanks a lot.
